Comment Policy

My comment policy is as follows:

  1. You must provide a valid e-mail address when commenting. It will not be seen by anyone but myself, so there’s no need to worry.
  2. I reserve the right to ban you from commenting at any time if I deem it necessary.
  3. Keep comments relevant to the post.
  4. Comments containing excessive chat speak, any sort of profanity, or poor punctuation/grammar/spelling to the point where I can’t understand them will be either censored or deleted.
  5. Disagreement and debate is fine. I will not censor comments for having opinions different than mine. However, it is expected that commentators be respectful of me and of others. Derogatory comments and flames will unquestionably be deleted.
  6. Spammers will be pwned by Akismet.
  7. If this is your first time commenting on Eruantale.net, your comment will enter the moderation queue. Once you have at least one approved comment your future comments should appear automatically.
  8. I have disabled nofollow in comments. WordPress adds rel="nofollow" to each link in comments by default, which tells search engines to ignore the link. This is supposed to deter spammers, but really it ends up punishing actual commentators. So, when you comment here, you’re getting some link love. However, irrelevant comments posted solely to get some link love will be deleted. But hey, why not spread the love and disable nofollow on your own blog?
