Site

Eruantale is my personal weblog where I write about my experiences as an English student. It’s been around since 2006.

I have experienced a lot of changes in my life since then, and so has my website. If you came here looking for an old post and you cannot find it, feel free to contact me. I may still have the post in my own personal archives.

The current layout of Eruantale.net is version 4.1.

What does “Eruantale” mean?

The word Eruantale is my name (Shawna) translated into J.R.R. Tolkien’s fictional language, Quenya.

I did not use a website where you type in your name and it spits out a randomly generated suggestion. Instead, I looked up the meaning of my name (God is gracious) and utilized a web site called Quenya Lapseparma to translate that directly into Quenya.

Eruantale is pronounced eh-roo-AHN-tah-leh.
