Comment Policy

I want to encourage comments as much as possible. However, friends, family members, professors, and employers all have access to my blog. Because of this, I moderate the comments I receive. When you leave a comment, it will not show up on the website immediately. Instead, it will enter the moderation queue and will be judged according to my comment policy.

Guidelines

Moderation. Every comment will be moderated before being posted to the website.

Spam. Spam (indiscriminate self-promotion that is irrelevant to the post) will be deleted—you must say more than, “Great post. Visit my website!”

Links. Links are permitted in comments. You can add a link with the following HTML code: <a href="http://www.yoururl.com/" title="Additional text that will be displayed when someone hovers over your link">YourURL.com</a>. If your comment contains many irrelevant links that could be considered spam, I may choose to remove the links but still display the comment.

Language. Comments that contain a small amount of strong language will be censored with asterisks. Comments with excessive strong language will not be displayed.

Personal Attacks. Although lively debate is encouraged, personal attacks on myself or other commentators, slander or flames will not be approved.

Copyright. Authors retain the full copyright to their comment. By posting the comment on Eruantale.net you are giving me permission to: make the slight modifications detailed above if necessary, display the comment on the post, and quote it in a future blog post if I so choose. If you wish to revoke that permission, you can e-mail me and I will remove your comment.
